From body decapitation, to head eating parasites. This movie has to be one of the most amazing gory films that I’ve watched! That’s why I am going to talk about it in this blogpost. Please keep in mind that this post may contain some spoilers from the movie. So if you haven’t watched it yet or don’t want to be spoiled, I suggest you skip this blogpost immediately.
Parasyte is a live-action movie that originated from the
anime/manga series. It all started when these alien-like creatures came down
from the sky and started getting inside the brains of humans through their ears
or noses. One of the aliens tried to enter Shinichi’s brain but did not succeeded
since he is wearing earphones.
Instead, it invaded his right arm and now have
an eye and mouth. Trembling with fear, Shinichi named it “Migi”. Migi explained
to him that if one of them dies, the other one will also die. In order to survive,
they have joined forces to protect themselves from the other parasytes. At the
beginning, Shinichi is still unsure if he will still trust his right hand when
it comes to fighting the other disgusting alien creatures until her mother got
killed by another parasyte and took her body. Now Shinichi is eager to kill
these aliens to avenge her mother.
Although some of the scenes were different from the anime,
the movie still made a great impact to the viewers. I really laughed as hard as
I can when my block mates did not expect the first gory scene because they
thought that it was a dramatic movie. And from then on, they keep asking me
from time to time if there will be another similar scene coming. I was left hanging at the end of the movie. If the second part comes out, I’ll definitely watch it!
